How to get there
You must first fly to Medan, capital of Sumatra. This can be done via Bali, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or Bangkok. You must then catch a Wings Air flight from Medan to Simuelue Island.
This can be arranged directly from the Lions Air website. Be sure to time it as you may need a stop over in one of the previous locations to link up your flights to be ready for your stay at our great Hotel Sumatra.

This is part of the Ache province is very religious. Shirts and singlets must be worn outside of the resort or on private property. Girls can wear shorts & top to surf and wear bikinis in the resort. Guys are fine to wear just board shorts.
Anything bought from the bar must be drunk inside the resort or private property of the Hotel Sumatra.
We highly recommend that you withdraw money from an ATMs at the Medan airport before your flight to simuelue. There are ATMs on Simeulue Island but these are aren’t reliable with foreign cards – there
is also no currency exchange is available.
Ding repair is available on the island but it best to bring your own spare fins and leashes as items will be limited.
